Direct integration with the SIA public register
The Security Industry Authority maintains a public register of licensed individuals under Section 12 of the Private Security Industry Act 2001. Guard Checker queries this register programmatically to verify the status of every SIA licence in your workforce.
For each licence number, we retrieve the current status (active, expired, or revoked), the expiry date, the licence sector (e.g. Door Supervision, Security Guarding), and the role type. This data is recorded against each staff member and updated on every scheduled check.
Check frequency depends on your plan: the Starter plan runs weekly checks, Next Level runs daily, and Large runs daily or hourly. You can also trigger a manual re-check for any operative at any time from the dashboard.
